InterAct takes part in Parallel London

“We had a great time!”
InterAct teamed up with BBC Children in Need to take part in the world’s first fully inclusive fun push/run on 4th September at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford. We had a fantastic day out and helped to raise money for Children in Need who are an existing funder of InterAct and support our work. Children in Need were a partner of the Parallel London event which also included a free family festival.
Everyone was welcome at the event, the disabled and non-disabled alike, including anyone with a long term injury or illness – physical, sensory, intellectual or invisible. People who went with InterAct took part in the fun run/push in the 10k and 5k event and the 1k Super Sensory Run.
“We had a lovely day and are up for doing the 5K next year!!”
Children in Need raised over £1,200 at the event, with over half of that figure raised from InterAct’s team. A big thank you to everyone who supported, and donated, to the cause.
“Just wanted to say thank you again. He has really enjoyed the day, and he has been telling us all about it”
