Training for Practitioners in Person Centred Approaches

Target Audience: Social Care, Health Care & Education Practitioners working directly with children and young people with SEN and Parent/Carers of children with SEN
Aim: To explore the Essex One Planning Environment as a more integrated, person-centred approach to the needs of children and young people with SEND, particularly in the context of the assessment and planning processes for Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Full Day: This is an interactive course which will also provide participants with the opportunity to discuss ideas on how to implement person-centred approaches. It will focus particularly on the One Planning Environment, and the assessment and planning processes relating to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). Max Group Size 30
Half Day: Follow-up reflection and action learning session. Open to those who have participated in the full-day training in 2015 or 2016. Groups will share and learn from their involvement in using person-centred approaches, applying their learning from the Full Day Programme, and discussing the content of real EHCPs. Max Group Size 20
