Mind & Spirit

Essex Mind and Spirit Conference 2007

In February 2007 InterAct hosted the second Essex Mind and Spirit Conference, held at the Shire Hall in Chelmsford. This landmark event looking at the links between spirituality and mental wellbeing was supported by North Essex Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, South Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and the Church of England in Essex and East London.

Over 220 people attended the conference, which looked back at developments in the mind and spirit agenda both locally and nationally since the first conference in 2004 and forward to local action across

the County over the next two years.

Speakers included Rt Rev’d John Gladwin Bishop of Chelmsford, Professor Andrew Sims from the Royal College of Psychiatry, Christine McDonald from North Essex Stronger Together and Rev’d Dr Nigel Copsey from East London and City Mental Health Trust. Their presentations and a copy of the conference report are available below.
