Would you like to use your fundraising expertise to create more opportunities for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)? InterAct is looking for an experienced and motivated Trusts & Grants Fundraiser to help secure sustainable income for our services and future growth.
For more than 30 years, InterAct has supported young people aged 8–25 across Mid and North Essex. Through inclusive clubs, activities, trips, volunteering, travel training, life skills and residentials, we help young people build confidence, independence, friendships and wellbeing. Young people’s voices, choices and aspirations are at the heart of our work.
Working closely with our Chief Executive Officer, you will research suitable funding opportunities, write persuasive applications and maintain an effective funding pipeline. You will also coordinate grant reporting, gather evidence and outcomes, and keep accurate records of opportunities, deadlines and results.
You will have demonstrable experience of identifying suitable funding opportunities and securing grants from trusts, foundations, statutory bodies or other grant-making organisations. You will be an excellent and persuasive writer with strong attention to detail, sound organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities independently. You will also be confident collaborating with colleagues and committed to InterAct’s mission and values.
Experience in the charity, voluntary, SEND, disability or youth sectors would be an advantage, as would knowledge of project budgeting, capital fundraising, funder reporting or fundraising databases.
Please send your CV and a supporting statement explaining how your experience meets the requirements of the role to vickie.perkins@interact.org.uk. Closing date is 11 November at 5pm with interviews first week of December.
InterAct is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check including the Children’s Barred List. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds and are committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.
