“This course has been very informative and useful to benefit my family”

An interactive and practical training course for anyone who cares for or works with vulnerable young people (age 8 upwards). Learn new skills and strategies to help you support young people who are experiencing a mental health problem or emotional distress, and enhance your CV.

What you say, how you say it, and how well you listen, can have a profound impact on someone who is emotionally distressed or having a difficult time. Everyone can learn and benefit from Youth Mental Health First Aid skills.

Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) training is an interactive and practical training course to help you spot the early signs of a mental health problem in a young person (age 8+), equipping you with tools and techniques to respond appropriately, until further help can be found.

YMHFA was launched as a version of Mental Health First Aid which is specifically tailored to those who work with or care for young people.

For more information about what the course covers, please see the MHFA page.
